KRISTIN’S BIO
At the Athens
Olympics in 2004, Kristin became the first women to ever compete
in Ancient Olympia. This event will give her a special place in
athletics history! But her athletic feats speak for
themselves. Kristin is currently the highest ranked US shot
putter in the world. She is also a two-time Olympian and has
been ranked in the top 3 in the US for the better part of a
decade!
Kristin was a
standout thrower in college, first at the University of Florida
where she was a four-time All-American. She then transferred to
Cal-Berkeley, to be closer to her ailing father, where she once
more gained All-American status. From the time she started
competing post-collegiatly, Kristin has been very successful.
She has been the US Outdoor Champion three times, and has been
very competitive on the international scene as well. She looks
to once again make the US Team this year for the World
Championships in Berlin.
