NEWSFLASH: On
June 29th, 2008 I made my second US Olympic Team. Competing in my
fifth consecutive Olympic Trials, I finished second to secure a berth on the
team. I am very honored
and feel fortunate to have another chance to return to the Olympic Games.
I began pole vaulting in
9th grade in 1982 at the age of 14. I have continued to do so post
collegiately and now compete professionally. YES, Track and Field is a professional sport. I competed in the 1996 Olympic Games for the
United States and continue to represent the United States in international
competition.
